SUCCESS!Okay, so it wasn't that hard to install Windows 7. I just had to figure out how to create a boot disk from the download (thank you Google and all you bloggers!). After that, I booted up and presto! It installed! Everything is working well so far, I just have to get used to the new interface (I used XP, not Vista). So far, so good!
*SIGH* It's never easy...Well, I downloaded the upgrade, backed up the data, ran the install and everything went smoothly... NOT! As with all things technical, problems will occur and boy, did they! The install basically fell flat on its face and tech support from Microsoft has been, well, dreadful. I asked a particular and received 2 email responses for something completely different! I'm not sure what they were looking at but it was not my problem. Ah well, I'll keep at it.
The wait is almost over!Yep, I'm a geek and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of Windows 7. I've been a loyal fan of the Microsoft stable of OS's through thick (XP) and thin (ME) and Windows 7 may prove to be the best of all. I've tried other types, Linux, Mac and so on and yet I've always stuck with Windows. I also expect the legion of Mac fans to start the inevitable blasting of everything Microsoft, they have such an inferiority complex. I actually believe, however, that this competition is good for all of us in the end. It makes Microsoft, Apple and the rest work that much harder to offer us better products. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some upgrading to do!
